In the 1990s, following the epic performances of African football teams at the World Cup, a group of African football enthusiasts gathered at the Vidy Stadium in Lausanne, with the aim of promoting local football. The initiative has also facilitated the integration of young footballers newly arrived in Switzerland, improving their rapid integration by connecting them to community clubs such as Dardania FC, Spaniard FC, Porto FC, Turk Lausanne, Azzuri FC, Chile FC, etc. It is in this spirit of social inclusion that the MAMBO International Festival was born. Today, it aims to offer young people with an immigrant background an environment conducive to the realization of their professional ambitions, whether in the field of sport, entrepreneurship or any other field.
